To complete the unit requirements safely and effectively, the individual must:

describe key features of the technologies and equipment a floor manager must manage during a studio shoot in film and television productions
identify typical problems and the main challenges of floor managing studio shoots
outline WHS and public safety procedures followed to maintain a safe studio production environment.
Assessment must be conducted in a safe environment where evidence gathered demonstrates consistent performance of typical activities experienced in creative arts industry environments. The assessment environment must include access to:
production contexts that require a floor manager
interaction with others involved in productions intended for broadcast
tools and equipment for communicating in a live production environment.
Assessors of this unit must satisfy the requirements for assessors in applicable vocational educational and training legislation, frameworks and/or standards.
