Create theatrical millinery

Assessment tool

Version 1.0
Issue Date: March 2024

Costume makers and milliners apply the skills and knowledge outlined in this unit. They could be working in a range of contexts - from large commercial productions in the entertainment and screen industries to amateur theatre.

This unit has linkages to a range of other costume units and combined assessment and/or training with those units may be appropriate. It is strongly recommended that this unit be assessed with or after relevant millinery units from the LMT07 Textiles Clothing and Footwear Training Package.

This unit describes the skills and knowledge to create a range of theatrical millinery items. As such it builds on the basic skills found in units from the LMT07 Textiles, Clothing and Footwear Training Package to capture the specific context of theatrical millinery production.

No licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of endorsement.

You may want to include more information here about the target group and the purpose of the assessments (eg formative, summative, recognition)

Evidence Required

List the assessment methods to be used and the context and resources required for assessment. Copy and paste the relevant sections from the evidence guide below and then re-write these in plain English.

The Evidence Guide provides advice on assessment and must be read in conjunction with the performance criteria, required skills and knowledge, range statement and the Assessment Guidelines for the Training Package.
