This unit specifies the skills and knowledge required to work safely and efficiently in and around rotary wing aircraft when required to assist in setting up and in the operation of helicopter landing point, landing site and landing zone (LP/LS/LZ).
It includes working safely in and around rotary wing aircraft whilst setting up LP/LS/LZ.
This unit applies to persons working as Defence Aerial Delivery Specialists as part of an aerial delivery crew in and around rotary wing aircraft.
The skills and knowledge described in this unit must be applied within the legislative, regulatory and policy environment in which they are carried out. Organisational policies and procedures must be consulted and adhered to.
Persons undertaking this unit would work under direct supervision, as part of a team, performing specific tasks in a range of contexts.
