This unit specifies the skills and knowledge required to conduct chlorine dosing of water at the point of supply as a member of the Australian Defence Force (ADF).
It includes preparing, conducting and monitoring chlorine dosing and performance at the point of supply to ensure chlorine disinfection residue levels meet the minimum standard for Australian drinking water guidelines (ADWG).
This unit applies to personnel working in ADF preventive medicine.
The skills and knowledge described in this unit must be applied within the legislative, regulatory and policy environment in which they are carried out. Organisational policies and procedures must be consulted and adhered to.
Persons undertaking this unit work under supervision and perform specific tasks in familiar contexts.
