Issue Date: April 2024

This unit of competency describes the outcomes required to prepare the band mill, fit special grinders, grind the wheel profile and re-assemble the band mill in readiness for return of bandsaws and wide bandsaws to service. Work is completed in a forest and wood products factory setting.

The unit applies to Sawdoctor, Saw Repairer.

No licensing, legislative, regulatory, or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.

You may want to include more information here about the target group and the purpose of the assessments (eg formative, summative, recognition)
