Range Statement

The range statement relates to the unit of competency as a whole.

Work tasks may include:

assistance with all activities associated with cropping such as:

land preparation

seeding

fertilising

harvesting

baling

raking

loading

removing weeds (rouging) or rocks from crops or fields

routine maintenance of sheds and other workplaces.

Tools and equipment may include:

knives

hand tools

rope

sack trucks

fencing tools

augers

brooms.

Hazards may include:

solar radiation

dust

noise

air- and soil-borne micro organisms

chemicals and hazardous substances

sharp hand tools and equipment

manual handling

holes

slippery and uneven surfaces.
