Performance Evidence
The candidate must provide evidence that they can:identify hazards and assess risks in grain/seed receival areaoperate and maintain of grain/seed testing equipmentinspect and clean receival and storage areas and equipmentsource grower/supplier informationidentify grain/seed typesuse personal protective equipmentidentify defects such as split grains/seeds, undersize, chaff, weed seedsprepare the site and maintain hygieneprepare testing equipmentliaise with growers and/or contractorsmaintain segregation of grains/seeds and arrange storagefollow work health and safety policies in the context of own workfollow enterprise biosecurity policies in the context of own work.
Knowledge Evidence
The candidate must demonstrate knowledge of:
grain/seed receival processes and industry practicecalibration requirements for testing equipmenttypes of testing equipment such as protein, oil content, moisture etcrequirements for segregation, traceability and hygieneimpact of residues including chemicalseed and grain industry grains receival standards and quality assurance requirementslegislation, regulations and policies for Work Health and Safety and biosecurity segregation strategies/methodsconflict and dispute resolution.
