Competence requires evidence that access tracks have been appropriately constructed according to enterprise guidelines relevant legislation and industry best practice The evidence required to demonstrate competency in this unit must be relevant to workplace operations and satisfy holistically all of the requirements of the performance criteria and required skills and knowledge and include achievement of the following

select and prepare equipment

determine control points required grades and water crossing points and structures from field observations

construct tracks utilising industry endorsed earthworks methods and

patterns for specific machines
