Performance Evidence
The candidate must be assessed on their ability to integrate and apply the performance requirements of this unit in a workplace setting. Performance must be demonstrated consistently over time and in a suitable range of contexts.
The candidate must provide evidence that they can:maintain biosecurity procedures and report concerns immediatelyread and interpret cost sheets, production information, target statistics, quantities of feed and other inputsread and interpret production and other information in a manner that is readily accessible for both management and operatorsmonitor shed temperature and adjust as requiredread and interpret spreadsheet information using a software packagediscuss production performance, risk and hazard potential, quality of output, and methods of production with both management and operatorsread and interpret the activities contained in livestock production plansobserve, identify and react appropriately to work health and safety hazards and environment risksrecognise when performance standards are not met and investigate and report findings in written formprovide supervision of staff including allocating duties and feedback on performanceread and interpret cost sheets, production information, target statistics, quantities of feed and other inputsprepare and present production and other information in a manner that is readily accessible for both management and operatorsapply relevant animal welfare practices
