Elements and Performance Criteria

1. Load machines
   • The enterprise safe operating procedures for transporting machinery are sourced and complied with.
   • Trailer or float is prepared for loading according to contractor policy.
   • Machine is loaded in compliance with safe operating procedures.
   • Tying down procedures are completed in line with recognised industry standards.
   • Machine is secured to prevent movement in transport according to industry practice.
   • Legal requirements for signs indicating oversized loads are met.
   • Legal requirements for permits, clearances and escorts for transporting oversized loads are arranged.
2. Transport machines
   • Machines are driven on or off road in compliance with relevant legislation.
   • Machinery is loaded and driven safely to destination in compliance with relevant legislation.
   • Selected transport route for oversized loads complies with permits, clearances and relevant legislation.
   • Machines are unloaded safely in line with accepted workplace policy.
