   • Monitor system regularly to ensure solid waste is contained within the system
   • Monitor system to ensure it complies with environmental and workplace requirements
   • Identify environmental impact of systems failure
   • Take corrective action in response to systems failure in accordance with workplace and regulatory requirements
2. Operate waste recovery systems
   • Operate and monitor system according to workplace requirements
   • Recover material from waste water according to workplace requirements
   • Dispose of material in accordance with workplace requirements
3. Maintain waste recovery systems
   • Maintain waste recovery system in accordance with workplace requirements and manufacturer's specifications
