1. Plan for work
   • Work instructions and job requirements are identified and confirmed
   • Materials and components are identified and selected
2. Prepare and inspect materials and components
   • Materials and components are visually inspected to ensure specifications and quality standards are met
   • Defective materials and components are identified, tagged and isolated according to workplace procedures
   • Materials are prepared, loaded, lined up and secured according to work instructions and workplace procedures
3. Process materials and components
   • Materials and components are processed according to workplace instructions, procedures and work health and safety (WHS) requirements using recommended production sequences and tools and equipment
   • Quality control methods and measures are identified and applied
   • Materials and components are finished to workplace quality standards and specifications
   • Work sheets and production documents are completed according to workplace procedures
