1. Review work processes
   • Inefficient production processes and opportunities for reducing cycle time are identified
   • Total cycle time for identified processes is calculated and production time recorded
   • High cycle time and processes that do not value add are identified
2. Plan and implement cycle time reduction
   • Proposed changes are planned and documented
   • Cycle time reduction plans are approved by appropriate personnel
   • Implementation of new processes is supported in line with workplace procedures
   • Cycle times following the implementation of plans are documented
3. Record changes in cycle times
   • Cycle time changes are confirmed and recorded
   • Information concerning endorsed changes is communicated to team members
   • Validation of the new processes is supported according to workplace procedures
