Elements and Performance Criteria

1. Inspect vehicle
   • Inspection activities are carried out according to workplace procedures
   • Chassis or frame is measured and inspected to determine modification or repair requirements
   • Inspection report and work plan are prepared during inspection
2. Modify, repair and align chassis or components
   • Vehicle specifications are identified and interpreted according to original equipment manufacturer (OEM) specifications and regulatory requirements
   • Tools and equipment are selected and checked for correct operation, and identified faults reported
   • Chassis or frame is modified or repaired and then aligned according to job sheet and work order
3. Complete work processes
   • Completed work is checked against job sheet and OEM specifications
   • Work areas, tools and equipment are cleaned and stored according to workplace procedures
   • Work forms and final inspection reports are completed and submitted to appropriate personnel
