- Confirm nature and scope of work to be carried out
- Locate occupational health and safety (OHS) and workplace environmental and sustainable procedures and practices, applicable to the work
- Access and interpret repair method, workshop manuals and manufacturer information
- Check and prepare tools, equipment and materials
- Set up work area
- Repair deck and hull
- Inspect deck and hull and identify deterioration and damage
- Perform repairs and adjustment operations in accordance with manufacturer and component supplier specifications, and OHS and workplace environmental and sustainable procedures and practices
- Test repairs, make required adjustments and re-test
- Determine the need for water testing
- Repair cabin equipment and fittings
- Test and recommission vessel
- Test deck, hull and cabin equipment and fittings for correct operation in accordance with manufacturer and component supplier specifications
- Repair and test failed systems
- Determine and report vessel deck, hull and cabin equipment and fittings which fail testing and gain rectification approval from customer
- Determine the need for water testing
- Carry out recommissioning procedures in accordance with manufacturer and component supplier specifications, and OHS and workplace environmental and sustainable procedures and practices
- Clean up work area and finalise work
- Clean and inspect equipment and tooling according to workplace requirements
- Tag unserviceable equipment and faults identified in accordance with workplace requirements
- Clean work area, dispose of waste and scrap, and store tools and equipment in accordance with workplace procedures
- Finalise and process work completion documentation and give to appropriate persons, as required
- Prepare report for the customer detailing work undertaken and technical or regulatory requirements
