Elements and Performance Criteria
- Prepare to undertake synchronising operations
- OH&S requirements, including individual State/Territory regulatory requirements and personal protection needs are observed throughout the work
- Procedures and information such as workshop manuals and specifications, and tooling, are sourced
- Method options are analysed and those most appropriate to the circumstances are selected and prepared
- Technical and/or calibration requirements for synchronising are sourced and support equipment is identified and prepared
- Warnings in relation to working with plant/equipment are observed
- Conduct synchronising procedures
- Analyse results
- Operational functions are carried out and test results are compared with manufacturer/component supplier specifications
- Results are analysed to indicate compliance or non-compliance
- Results are documented with evidence and supporting information and recommendation(s) made
- Report is forwarded to persons for action in accordance with workplace procedures
- Prepare plant and equipment for use or storage
- Workplace documentation is completed
- Final inspection is made to ensure protective guards, safety features and cowlings are in place
- Final inspection is made to ensure work is to workplace expectations
- Plant/equipment is cleaned for use or storage to workplace expectations
- Job card is completed and delivered to appropriate persons
