- Prepare for work
- Work instructions are used to determine the job requirements, including job sheets, preparation procedures and manufacturer/component supplier specifications
- Job specifications are read and interpreted
- OH&S requirements, including personal protection needs, are observed throughout the work
- Product/system/component/item to be drawn is identified
- Correct instruments and equipment are identified and checked for safe use
- Prepare engineering drawing
- Correct information is accessed and interpreted from manufacturer/component supplier specifications
- Drawing instruments, equipment and materials are selected to match the complexity of the requirement
- Symbols, codes, legends and diagrammatic representations are used
- Correct dimensions, tolerances and material specifications are used
- Engineering drawings are completed and checked for accuracy
- Activities are carried out according to industry regulations/guidelines, OH&S legislation, legislation and enterprise procedures/policies
- Clean up work area and maintain equipment
- Waste and scrap is removed following workplace procedure
- Equipment and work area are cleaned and inspected for serviceable condition in accordance with workplace procedures
- Unserviceable equipment is tagged and faults identified in accordance with workplace procedures
- Instruments are maintained and stored in accordance with workplace procedures
