3. Investigate partnership opportunities
   • Determine partnership requirements according to organisation needs analysis and strategic directions
   • Gather, research and analyse information on potential partners
   • Build relationships and rapport with potential partners
4. Negotiate partnership agreement terms and conditions
   • Maintain partnership focus and protect client’s interests throughout discussions and negotiations
   • Clearly define roles and responsibilities of each party, including level and type of service provision
   • Identify and address confidentiality and privacy issues
   • Determine communication, dispute resolution, meeting, decision making and reporting processes
   • Formalise and sign partnership agreement
5. Implement partnership agreement
   • Schedule and contribute to regular meetings with partners in accordance with role
   • Consult clients at all stages of implementation and ensure rights are upheld
   • Implement dispute resolution processes if required
   • Ensure all reporting requirements are met in accordance with organisation procedures and partnership agreement
6. Evaluate partnership agreements
   • Develop criteria for evaluation of partnership
   • Collect and include stakeholder feedback in the evaluation process
   • Measure performance against agreed criteria
   • Amend partnership agreements and re-negotiate with partner organisation where appropriate
