- Plan and prepare.
- Work instructions, including plans, specifications, quality requirements and operational details are obtained from relevant information, confirmed and applied to the scope of work performed.
- Safety (OHS) requirements are followed in accordance with safety plans and policies.
- Signage and barricade requirements are identified and implemented.
- Tools and equipment selected to carry out tasks are consistent with the requirements of the job, checked for serviceability and any faults are rectified or reported prior to commencement.
- Materials quantity requirements are calculated in accordance with plans, specifications and quality requirements.
- Materials appropriate to the work application are identified, obtained, prepared, safely handled and located ready for use.
- Environmental requirements are identified for the project in accordance with environmental plans and statutory and legislative authority obligations and applied.
- Prepare backgrounds for set coat application.
- Background surface is identified and surface preparation process is selected in accordance with requirements of the setting coat to be applied.
- Surface is cleaned in preparation for application.
- Surface is wet down to provide an even suction appropriate to the setting rate for the setting coat being applied.
- Surface is checked for appropriate level of suction appropriate to the setting rate of the setting coat being applied.
- Mix plaster and lime setting.
- Apply plaster and lime set coat.
- Clean up.
