Elements and Performance Criteria

1. Maintain currency of own industry knowledge
   • Identify trends and emergent technologies in the music industry, using appropriate sources of information
   • Identify likely effects of industry trends on own work practice
   • Liaise with relevant people to identify learning opportunities to incorporate trends and emergent technologies in own work practice
   • Undertake identified learning opportunities to improve own work practices
2. Establish work and contractual relationships
   • Share information and ideas with relevant people in the music industry
   • Identify issues, problems and conflict encountered in the workplace, and propose ways to resolve
   • Discuss, confirm and document agreements and contracts with relevant people
   • Use effective techniques to maintain work and contractual relationships
3. Complete work tasks
   • Prioritise work tasks and establish deadlines to accommodate daily workload variations, in discussion with relevant people
   • Identify and plan for factors that may affect the completion of work tasks within deadlines
   • Complete work tasks within deadlines and in accordance with legislative and regulatory requirements
   • Observe copyright and intellectual property requirements when accessing and using material from the internet
   • Seek feedback on own work performance from relevant people, and adjust as necessary to improve work practice

Evidence of the ability to:

apply information about industry trends and emergent technologies to own work practice

establish and maintain work and contractual relationships

comply with the requirements of relevant legislation and regulations

prioritise and complete work tasks, in collaboration with others.
