- Develop policies and procedures
- In consultation with relevant personnel, take a range of factors into account when developing organisational policies in relation to managing outdoor fireworks displays
- Develop safety management systems according to state or territory regulatory requirements
- Undertake emergency planning and develop emergency procedures according to state or territory regulatory requirements
- Develop quality management systems according to state or territory regulatory requirements
- Establish procedures for purchasing and handling fireworks according to state or territory regulatory requirements
- Develop contractual briefs for outdoor fireworks displays
- Assess key objectives of proposed events in relation to workplace risks and organisational requirements
- Take account of a range of technical and creative issues when developing proposals for clients based on information provided
- Present proposals to clients and negotiate changes as required
- Complete proposals as contractual briefs
- Plan displays in line with briefs
- Implement procedures
- Implement organisational policy and procedures relating to safety, quality management and emergency response
- Identify organisational training needs, particularly in relation to procedures for handling fireworks
- Develop and implement organisational training
- In consultation with relevant personnel, evaluate the effectiveness of planning procedures for fireworks displays and note areas for improvement
