Elements and Performance Criteria
- Participate in technical run-throughs
- In consultation with relevant personnel and with reference to production documentation, confirm technical and production requirements for vision systems
- Plot and run through cues on direction and according to equipment, sequencing, timing and speed requirements
- Identify problems and modify equipment as required to ensure smooth operation during live productions or events
- Change cues and modify running sheets and other documentation as required
- Undertake vision system operations
- Check functionality of communications equipment
- Power up and conduct a check on all primary and backup equipment and accessories to ensure working order
- Deliver required vision effects by executing on cue all vision system operations
- Modify cues, as required, to cater for unexpected contingencies
- Respond to equipment malfunctions by rectifying faults safely and efficiently and inform relevant personnel as required
- Use backup systems as required
- Complete vision system operations
- Safely power down equipment according to manufacturer instructions and organisational procedures
- Secure vision systems to avoid damage when unattended
- Use safe lifting techniques when carrying and packing vision system equipment and accessories
- Prepare vision system equipment for transport as required
- Leave the work site in the original or improved condition
- Complete and distribute workplace documentation as required
- Seek feedback on own work performance and adjust work practices accordingly
