Competency should be assessed over time commanding a combat arms organisation of up to personnel and should replicate the command and control requirements described in the Range Statement The individual should be exposed to the extremes of the operational environment where a person is under physical and mental stress The context of assessment would usually be simulated due to the nature of this high risk environment
