Performance Evidence

Evidence required to demonstrate competence in this unit must be relevant to and satisfy all of the requirements of the elements and performance criteria on at least one occasion and include:

applying relevant safety and security practices, operational procedures and regulations

complying with relevant operational policies and procedures

identifying a mixture of at least ten civilian and military aircrafts

identifying and collecting aerospace information

identifying hazards, assessing risks and identifying control measures

moving safely on a tarmac and within a maintenance facility

recognising and anticipating safety and security problems and hazards, and taking appropriate action.


Knowledge Evidence

Evidence required to demonstrate competence in this unit must be relevant to and satisfy all of the requirements of the elements and performance criteria and include knowledge of:

aircraft recognition features

Australian Defence Force (ADF) bases from which aircraft operate

ADF aerospace services

components of an aircraft airframe

relevant operational policies and procedures

relevant safety and security regulations, rules, policies and procedures

roles of ADF aircraft

safety and security hazards and risks in the aviation workplace

sectors of the aerospace industry.
