Elements and Performance Criteria
- Prepare for small arms ammunition maintenance
- Apply work health and safety (WHS) requirements in accordance with organisational procedures throughout the operation
- Identify, confirm and obtain small arms ammunition to be maintained, in accordance with technical documentation
- Identify, obtain and prepare technical references, tools, equipment, consumables and packaging components in accordance with organisational procedures
- Identify, calculate, assess and apply net explosive quantities and compatibility throughout the operation
- Monitor and maintain environmental conditions, as required
- Maintain small arms ammunition
- Conduct relevant maintenance in accordance with organisational procedures, technical specifications and drawings
- Apply emergency and contingency procedures, as required
- Conduct and record relevant small arms ammunition tests in accordance with organisational procedures, technical specifications and drawings
- Complete maintenance activity
- Maintain equipment/tools in accordance with organisational procedures and guidelines
- Conduct housekeeping procedures in accordance with workshop requirements
- Maintain documentation and records in accordance with statutory, organisational and workshop requirements
