Elements and Performance Criteria

1. Prepare for the application of workplace radio frequency emission safety procedures/plans
   • Source of radio frequency radiation is identified.
   • Existing organisational records relevant to the radiation are identified and accessed.
   • Work health and safety (WHS) requirements including those contained in organisational procedures, are applied throughout the operation.
   • Appropriate consultation with stakeholders is conducted.
2. Implement radio frequency radiation safety procedures/plans
   • Appropriate radio frequency radiation protective measures are employed.
   • Relevant notices/signs are displayed or published.
   • Radio frequency radiation sources are handled in accordance with legislation, standards and/or organisational policy, procedures and guidelines.
3. Maintain workplace radio frequency radiation safety documentation
   • Workplace radio frequency radiation records are maintained.
   • Equipment/instrument deployment and maintenance records/documentation are maintained.
