Performance Evidence

A person demonstrating competency in this unit must satisfy all of the elements, performance criteria and foundation skills of this unit. If a specific volume or frequency is not stated below, then evidence must be provided that the following requirements have been performed on at least one occasion:

identify suitable activities and deliver information and interpretations programs suitable to participant needs and program objectives, that includes one or more of the following activities:

seminars

talks

information in in-house publications

exhibitions

media releases

technology based training

marketing and promotional programs

evaluate and promote information and interpretations programs and introduce improvements where necessary.

use appropriate communication and interpersonal techniques and methods with colleagues and others

follow organisational policies and procedures related to presenting forestry information and interpretations programs


Knowledge Evidence

A person competent in this unit must be able to demonstrate knowledge of:

organisational policies and procedures for presenting forestry information and interpretations programs

media relations and marketing principles and processes in relation to presenting forestry information and interpretations programs

determining participant needs and target audience requirements

appropriate training locations within a workplace

training and presentation techniques

methods to engage an audience

computer-based presentation techniques and tools
