- Check, estimate and record loads
- Stop trucks delivering loads, and check delivery documents.
- Check that load height and stability meet site requirements.
- Inspect type and quantity of logs; assess suitability of size, species and quality for acceptable receipt.
- Calculate and record weight and volume of each log.
- Record delivery documentation and equipment faults in line with organisational procedures.
- Weigh trucks
- Identify truck gross weight using weighbridge in line with organisational safety procedures.
- Obtain truck tare weight from existing records or note need for weighing.
- Identify truck tare weight on departure using weighbridge in line with organisational safety procedures.
- Calculate and record nett weight of logs and type delivered in line with organisational procedures.
- Direct trucks for unloading
