- Examine organisational compliance requirements for critical implications, risks and consequences of possible breaches.
- Ensure timber compliance for import/export
- Identify timber for import/export and assess wood properties.
- Examine timber for identify biohazards associated with the particular species and undertake a risk assessment.
- Determine the need for timber treatment and arrange for any required treatments to be carried out.
- Establish the need for phytosanitary certificates and arrange for procurement.
- Document compliance requirements
- Complete and check branding of timber in line with regulatory requirements.
- Obtain forest certification records and forward to relevant authorities.
- Complete compliance records and reports and submit to appropriate internal and external personnel
- Report breaches of compliance to those with sufficient authority to correct them.
