Performance Evidence
A person demonstrating competency in this unit must satisfy all of the elements, performance criteria and foundation skills of this unit. If a specific volume or frequency is not stated below, then evidence must be provided that the following requirements have been performed on at least one occasion:
maintain visitor sites by:lawn mowing and edgingraking leavescleaning toilets, shower blocks and other structuressupplying firewoodrepainting and other minor repairsremoving rubbishfollow regulatory and workplace requirements and codes of practice relevant to maintaining visitor sitescheck and order supplies of consumables for cleaning relevant to maintaining visitor sites including:toilet papercleaning chemicalslawn mower fuelpaintselect and use types of cleaning and maintenance equipment including:manual cleaning toolspower toolspetrol-driven lawn mowerswhipper snipper and edgerundertake efficient and safe selection, use, transport and storage of equipment and supplies with no damage to equipment, property, environment, colleagues or the publicidentify site hazards or unsafe facilities including:contaminated waste materialvisitors moving around adjacent to maintenance activitiesunsafe structuresdeteriorated structuresnatural features or facilitiesand demonstrate an appropriate response, including reporting to supervisorhandle and remove waste or contaminated material including:bloodbandagessanitary binseffluentgarbagesharpsidentify, note and report problems including:deteriorated or vandalised structuresrecord and report manually, in a computer based system or other appropriate organisational communication system:problems including deteriorated or vandalised structures and natural features and facilities that do not meet enterprise acceptable standardsmaintenance outcomeshazards and incidentsequipment malfunctions and damage
