- Plan and schedule equipment settings and operations.
- Plan and prescribe control measures to minimise waste of paint and additives.
- Identify, monitor and assess variations in paint mixtures.
- Coordinate painting operations
- Direct operators to load and unload painting equipment.
- Coordinate paint application and curing processes and monitor for quality finish and completion rates.
- Check paint line performance and interpret data to ensure accuracy and intended coverage.
- Modify schedules to ensure optimum and cost effective production outcomes and communicate changes to operators.
- Coordinate the disposal of excess paint in line with environmental protection practices.
- Direct correct processes for cleaning painting equipment to ensure compliance with organisational safety procedures and environmental protection practices.
- Investigate, record and report major processing and equipment faults and resolve or report to appropriate personnel
- Evaluate and modify painting processes.
- Monitor and evaluate painting operations and output to determine process improvements.
- Analyse systematic problems with plant, equipment, paints and panels for potential to improve painting processes.
- Document recommended process improvements, communicate to appropriate personnel and seek approval.
- Trial new processes, document outcomes and introduce appropriate system changes.
