Elements and Performance Criteria

1. Determine data mapping and integration requirements
   • Identify and document the format of the data from the RFID system, including data schema
   • Collect required data, target database requirements and implementation details ensuring uniqueness of entries
2. Perform data transition
   • Write and test conversion programs and use conversion tools
   • Ensure clean data take-on by converting according to database requirements
   • Use database adaptors and interfaces for data transition
3. Check data transition
   • Verify that data transition has been completed according to requirements
   • Document programs, procedures and processes according to clients requirements
   • Provide conversion reports to client for sign-off

Method of assessment	A range of assessment methods should be used to assess practical skills and knowledge The following examples are appropriate for this unit direct observation of candidate configuring an RFID system and database using a range of equipment in a variety of scenarios evaluation of candidates documentation that includes programs procedures and processes review of candidategenerated conversion reports
