Elements and Performance Criteria
- Set and adjust sections of machine
- All details required for the job are checked and confirmed according to job specifications
- Correct materials are checked and available for the job
- All light sensors and proximity sensors are operating
- Mills are set to right cavity depth for chips
- Tape indexer and die are cleaned and chip registration is correct
- Implanting module is set up and registered and adhesives are available and dispenser is clean and ready
- Machine and in-line components are initialised
- Confirm computer settings
- Set up printer unit
- Print head is set up and adjusted according to job specifications
- Ink and solvent levels are checked and refilled if necessary
- Settings are selected according to job specifications
- Drying is checked as sufficient to key ink to the substrate
- Printer is set up according to work health and safety (WHS) guidelines
- Load machine
- Substrate is prepared according to job specifications
- Substrate is positioned correctly to the machine
- Faulty material is visually identified and removed according to WHS requirements and enterprise procedures
- Cards are loaded according to WHS requirements and manufacturer’s specifications and enterprise procedures
- Settings are checked according to job specifications before production starts
- Work area is safe and ready for production according to safety requirements
