- Identify cable pathways and cable support systems
- Select appropriate cable types to meet functional needs
- Develop cable identification method to aid the installation
- Document the cable wiring system design
- Document by room the customer interface elements
- Document requirements for the home distributor, security system, carrier and carriage service facilities, antennas and switch boards
- Document testing and commissioning requirements
- Specify user documentation required after the completion of the installation
- Provide customer quote that includes a bill of materials and a project schedule
