- Plan and prepare work
- Work instructions are used to determine job requirements, including design, colour, finish process and required hardware quality
- Workplace health and safety requirements, including personal protection needs, are observed throughout the work
- Types of hardware are identified and selected for the work
- Tools, equipment and accessories for application are identified and checked for safe and effective operation
- Surfaces are cleaned and prepared to enable accurate colour matching
- Apply and/or fit and finish
- Hardware items are laid out/placed in the required design
- Machinery is used in accordance with workplace procedures, including use of personal protective equipment
- Joining/securing process is undertaken according to workplace procedures
- Adhesives are applied according to workplace procedures and/or manufacturers' instructions
- Work is checked against required quality standards
- Finalise operation and maintain equipment
- Work area is cleaned, hand and/or power tools and equipment are cleaned, maintained and stored in accordance with workplace procedures
- Machinery is cleaned and left in a safe mode
- Faulty and/or defective equipment is tagged and reported in accordance with workplace practices
- Unused hardware is collected and stored for reuse or disposal following workplace procedures
- Waste and scrap materials are dealt with following workplace procedures
