Performance Evidence

Evidence required to demonstrate competence must satisfy all of the requirements of the elements and performance criteria. If not otherwise specified the candidate must demonstrate evidence of performance of the following on at least one occasion.

locating maps, plans, drawings and specifications for work tasks

locating work sites

using information provided in maps, plans and drawings to complete a task

preparing a simple map or plan that represents an actual or simulated work environment

applying problem solving strategies


Knowledge Evidence

Evidence required to demonstrate competence must satisfy all of the requirements of the elements and performance criteria. If not otherwise specified the depth of knowledge demonstrated must be appropriate to the job context of the candidate.

Basic knowledge of:

the range of maps, plans and drawings to different assignment situations

basic formulae of volumes, area and mass

features of maps, plans and drawings including:

contours

datum points

planes

gradients

sections

orthographic projections

symbols

dimensions

terminology
