Performance Evidence

Evidence required to demonstrate competence must satisfy all of the requirements of the elements and performance criteria. If not otherwise specified the candidate must demonstrate evidence of performance of the following on at least one occasion.

using wastewater sampling and preservation techniques for on-site and laboratory testing

interpreting and applying legislation and policies applicable to trade waste

developing monitoring plans

coordinating measuring, testing and sampling activities

interpreting and evaluating sample analysis data

assessing risks and hazards associated with sampling activities

monitoring process inputs and outputs

planning and conducting investigations

assessing environmental impact using ISO 14001 where appropriate

assessing waste treatment methods, processes, plant and equipment

using appropriate personal protective equipment for protection against physical, chemical and biological hazards

implementing monitoring and testing programs

analysing test results

investigating problems on-site

monitoring treatment and disposal provisions on-site

recording and reporting data


Knowledge Evidence

Evidence required to demonstrate competence must satisfy all of the requirements of the elements and performance criteria. If not otherwise specified the depth of knowledge demonstrated must be appropriate to the job context of the candidate.
