Elements and Performance Criteria

1. Plan intelligence support for a response
   • Identify intelligence requirements for response purposes.
   • Develop objectives of intelligence support to guide response.
   • Determine intelligence processes required to achieve objectives.
   • Identify partner agencies/stakeholders applicable to the response in order to support collaboration.
   • Identify communication channels with stakeholders to facilitate the provision of support.
   • Negotiate timelines with stakeholders for reporting purposes.
   • Document intelligence support plan to provide rationale for resource use.
2. Manage information
   • Collect information in accordance with intelligence support objectives.
   • Collate information to meet multiple stakeholders' requirements.
   • Review information to determine its relevance to response context.
   • Disseminate information in accordance with information security requirements.

   • Evaluate collated information to determine validity and reliability.
   • Analyse information to develop inferences and insights.
   • Identify gaps in intelligence to guide further information collection.
