Skill requirements

Look for evidence that confirms skills in

reading and writing at a level to cope with a range of complex and sensitive workplace materials

critically analysing and synthesising information to compose complex written documents

researching other pertinent information such as supportingopposing position papers

refining content structure and sequence according to the required purpose of written material

analysing and using language structures and features that influence the interpretation of written communication

using spelling punctuation and grammar for workplace documents at an experienced level

Range Statement

The Range Statement provides information about the context in which the unit of competency is carried out. The variables cater for differences between States and Territories and the Commonwealth, and between organisations and workplaces. They allow for different work requirements, work practices and knowledge. The Range Statement also provides a focus for assessment. It relates to the unit as a whole.
