Performance Evidence
Evidence is required to be collected that demonstrates a candidate’s competency in this unit. Evidence must be relevant to the roles within this sector’s work operations and satisfy all of the requirements of the performance criteria of this unit and include evidence that the candidate:
locates and applies relevant documentation, policies and proceduresimplements the appropriate procedures and techniques for the safe, effective and efficient supervision of pavement maintenance tasks including:accessing, interpreting and applying documentation for carrying our pavement maintenanceidentifying and applying relevant specifications to all work activitiesidentify and confirm specific task requirementsidentifying, addressing and reporting potential hazards and risksidentifying, obtaining, confirming and supervising the implementation of signage and barrier requirements selecting and checking for faults all tools and equipment to carry out tasks identifying, addressing and reporting environmental issuesaccessing and sharing with team members specific task information and requirements ensuring a job plan is available and communicated which makes best use of the available resources and meets task requirements works effectively with others to plan, prepare and conduct the supervision of pavement maintenance tasks to meet all requirements including:preparing for and organising work activities to meet all task requirementscommunicating clearly and concisely with others to allocate work tasks and work instructionsmonitoring movements and hazards and identifying and communicating changes to the work environment during the work processdemonstrates completion of the principles of pavement maintenance that safely, effectively and efficiently meets all of the required outcomes on more than one (1) occasion including:ensuring the provision of all tools, equipment and resourcescommunicating instructions effectively throughout the work activitysupplying coaching solutions where tasks require problem solvingensuring, plant equipment and tools maintenance requirements are carried out and recordedreporting on the execution of tasksrecommending improvements to the safety, efficiency and effectiveness of the execution of tasksevidence of the consistent and successful supervision of pavement maintenance tasks
Knowledge Evidence
