Performance Evidence
Evidence is required to be collected that demonstrates a candidate’s competency in this unit. Evidence must be relevant to the roles within this sector’s work operations and satisfy all of the requirements of the performance criteria of this unit and include evidence that the candidate:
locates and applies applicable documentation, policies and proceduresimplements the requirements, procedures and techniques for the safe, effective and efficient repairing and sealing of existing pipeline systems including:selecting and using the required tools and equipmentdetermining site conditions and locating underground utilitiespreparing exit and entry pitsundertaking confined space entryidentifying and selecting repair or sealing methodsmonitoring installation process and the finished productworks effectively with others to undertake and complete the localised repair and sealing of existing pipeline systems that meets all of the required outcomes including:using a range of communication techniques and equipment to convey information to othersmaintaining written and verbal reporting requirements and proceduresorganising work activities to meet all task requirementsdemonstrates completion of localised repair and sealing of existing pipeline systems that safely, effectively and efficiently meets all of the required outcomes on more than one (1) occasion including:completing a minimum of two (2) localised repair and sealings for existing pipeline systemsidentify, obtain, confirm and apply work, safety and signage instructions and requirementscleaning, checking, maintaining and storing plant, tools and equipment
