Elements and Performance Criteria
- Plan and prepare to install slip lining in existing pipeline systems
- Access, interpret and apply documentation and procedures for installation of slip lining in existing pipeline systems and ensure the work activity is compliant
- Obtain, read, interpret, clarify and confirm work requirements
- Identify and address potential risks, hazards and environmental issues and implement control measures
- Select and wear personal protective equipment appropriate for work activities
- Identify, obtain and implement signage requirements from the project traffic management plan
- Identify and select plant, tools and equipment, check for serviceability and rectify or report any faults
- Perform site survey
- Notify and obtain approval from property owners and occupiers for entry onto their property
- Determine site conditions by visual inspection, plans, discussion with land owners and information from service utilities
- Locate underground utilities
- Maintain system serviceability during rehabilitation works
- Survey and record existing site conditions
- Initiate rehabilitation works
- Undertake slip-lining
- Determine fault with the aid of plans, drawings, CCTV recordings or other mechanisms
- Select slip-lining method appropriate to the fault
- Apply pressure cleaning to the designated location
- Spiral/push liner into the existing pipe
- Install slip-lining material
- Correctly secure and seal termination at ends of process
- Open junctions for inspection and operation
- Monitor installation process and finished product to ensure conformity to the design requirements
- Clean up
