Elements and Performance Criteria

1. Identify and list cargo that requires bonded movement
   • Goods are identified for bonding when not cleared for release by Australian customs or quarantine
   • Types of cargo for underbond movements are identified
   • Appropriate facilities are identified for storage of uncleared cargo
   • Facility licencing requirements are identified for storage of bonded cargo in accordance with regulatory requirements and workplace procedures
2. Arrange transfer of goods to bond store
   • Arrangements for the transfer of goods to bond store are made in accordance with regulatory requirements and workplace procedures
   • Carrier and/or bond facility is notified of storage or yard location, marks and quantity, and is provided with relevant documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements and workplace procedures
3. Prepare and issue bonded movement
   • Bonded movements are prepared in accordance with workplace requirements and relevant Australian government regulations
   • Bonded movements, endorsed with the relevant information, is issued to carrier and/or bond facility in accordance with regulatory requirements and workplace procedures

Performance Evidence

Evidence required to demonstrate competence in this unit must be relevant to and satisfy all of the requirements of the elements and performance criteria on at least one occasion and include:

applying relevant legislation and workplace procedures communicating effectively with others completing relevant documentation reading, interpreting and following relevant instructions, procedures, information and signs selecting and using relevant communications, computing and office equipment working collaboratively with others working systematically with required attention to detail without injury to self or others, or damage to goods or equipment.

Knowledge Evidence

Evidence required to demonstrate competence in this unit must be relevant to and satisfy all of the requirements of the elements and performance criteria and include knowledge of:

Australian and international codes and regulations relevant to coordinating goods to bond premises operational work systems, equipment, management and site operating systems for coordinating goods to bond premises workplace procedures and policies for coordinating goods to bond premises.
