- Precautions are taken to ensure spilt fuel, lubricants, chemicals and noxious plants do not pollute the environment
- Equipment and vehicles are operated efficiently to minimise air pollution through excessive exhaust emissions
- Unnecessary running of engines/equipment is avoided to minimise air pollution
- Workplaces are kept clean and tidy during work operations and waste is disposed of in accordance with environmental regulations and organisational procedures
- Noise pollution from work is minimised
- Respond to environmental incidents
- Hazards are identified and extent of potential impact is determined
- Appropriate personal protective equipment is identified, selected and worn/used as required
- Hazards are managed or isolated as required or as instructed
- Actions are taken to minimise environmental impact
- Incident is reported to relevant personnel in accordance with organisational procedures
