Elements and Performance Criteria

  1. Access and interpret relevant logistics information
  2. Relevant logistics requirements are identified and obtained
  3. Logistics information obtained is analysed to determine organisational application
  4. Analysis results are documented and recommendations relevant to logistics are determined
  5. Use knowledge of logistics
  6. Logistics requirements and recommendations are applied in accordance with organisational policy and procedures
  7. Effectiveness of the recommendations is assessed, reviewed and recorded in accordance with organisational policy and procedures
  8. Recommendations are adjusted as required and documented for future application in accordance with organisational policy and procedures

Performance Evidence

Evidence required to demonstrate competence in this unit must be relevant to and satisfy all of the requirements of the elements and performance criteria on at least one occasion and include:

adhering to relevant logistics requirements

analysing and interpreting logistics information to determine where internal and external factors impact on the logistics requirements, and adjusting planning accordingly

applying knowledge of logistics to assist work and to guide problem solving

communicating key logistics information clearly, presenting information confidently and selecting the appropriate communication medium for a range of audiences

using appropriate information technology and software.
