Elements and Performance Criteria
- Plan and prepare for the transport of apparatus and materials.
- Transport of apparatus and materials is planned and prepared to ensure OHS policies and procedures are followed, the work is appropriately sequenced in accordance with requirements.
- Appropriate personnel are consulted to ensure apparatus; accessories, plant, equipment and/or materials are appropriately identified, and checked against manufacturer transport instructions and requirements.
- Transport details of apparatus and materials are checked against job requirements.
- Plant needed to carry out the work is obtained in accordance with established procedures and checked for correct operation and safety.
- Where appropriate, team and individual work roles and responsibilities within the team are identified.
- Preparatory work is checked to ensure no damage has occurred and complies with requirements.
- Transport apparatus and materials.
- OHS policies and procedures for the transport of apparatus plant and materials are followed.
- Apparatus, plant and materials are transported in accordance with requirements, and manufacturer transport instructions without damage or distortion to the surrounding environment or services.
- Unplanned events or conditions are responded to in accordance with established procedure.
- Approval is obtained in accordance with established procedures from appropriate personnel before any contingencies are implemented.
- Ongoing checks of the work quality are undertaken in accordance with established procedures.
- Check and notify completion of work.
