Elements and Performance Criteria
- Establish long and short term strategies
- Relevant budgets, operational/maintenance and personnel requirements are considered
- Relevant information is analysed and evaluated in accordance with enterprise requirements
- Information and data is coordinated and formatted as required to meet the needs of the enterprise
- Operating strategy is reviewed for suitability/approval in accordance with statutory, industry and enterprise/site requirements
- Where appropriate, the teams and individuals roles and responsibilities within the team are identified and, where required, assist in the provision of the on-the-job training.
- Review/enhance strategies
- Data is collected and processed for review against established strategy
- Deviations from requirements are defined
- New requirements that may impact on operating strategy are considered
- New strategy is developed in accordance with reviewed information
- Operating strategy is reviewed for suitability/approval in accordance with statutory, industry and enterprise/site requirements
- Implement/monitor strategy
- Plant operational procedures are developed in consultation with others and reviewed as required
- Plant operation and/or condition is monitored and reported against statutory and enterprise requirements taking into account constraints and budget requirements
- Abnormal operating conditions are investigated and reported
- Critical resources and supplies are monitored
- Human resource requirements are coordinated and monitored
