Entry Requirements

Entry to this qualification is limited to those who:

Have completed CUSOHS301A Follow occupational health and safety procedures or can demonstrate equivalence; and

Are able to demonstrate technical production skills in at least one specialisation that supports learning at a Certificate IV level. A specialisation could comprise skills in at least one of the following areas:

costume

lighting

scenery and props

screen and media

sound

staging

vision systems.

In particular, they must be able to provide evidence of their ability to:

produce a body of work demonstrating the ability to respond effectively to workplace requirements associated with at least one specialisation in line with current industry standards;

apply a basic knowledge of trends and traditions in at least one specialisation in technical production; and

apply technical skills in at least one specialisation.

Those skills and knowledge may have been acquired through personal or work experience, or through formal study.
