To be awarded the FWP10116 Certificate I in Forest and Forest Products, competency must be achieved in seven (7) units of competency.

five (5) core units plus

two (2) units from the elective group, the total of which can include one elective unit from this or any endorsed Training Package or State/Territory accredited course recommended for packaging at Certificate I or II level.

Elective units must be relevant to work undertaken in the forest and forest products sector of the industry.
