To be awarded the 
FWP50216 Diploma of Timber Truss and Frame Manufacture, competency must be achieved in nineteen (19) units of competency.
five (5) core units of competency
fourteen (14) units of competency from the elective group, the total of which may include up to 3 units recommended for packaging at Certificate IV, Diploma or Advanced Diploma level from this or any other endorsed Training Package or state/territory accredited course.
Elective units must be relevant to work undertaken in the timber truss and frame industry.
